Insurance Analysis & Planning
Insurance is meant to protect your financial life more than most people realize. Whether it’s protecting income, covering a family loss, or funding a business transition if something happens to a key person.
Essex does not sell insurance and does not earn commission on any policy. When we review your coverage, we’re evaluating whether it actually serves you and the risk it is meant to cover.
For over 30 years, Essex has helped explain to clients what they’re paying for, what they might be missing, and where they might be able to do better, without an insurance product to sell at the end of the conversation.

Seeing Gaps in Your Coverage
A Second Look at What You Already Have
Industry research shows that over 40% of policyholders rarely or never review their coverage, even after major life changes. But as needs and products evolve, your coverage must keep up.
We review a client’s existing insurance, whatever type it is, life, disability, long-term care, umbrella or liability, business coverage like keyperson or buy-sell funding. We look for places where you may be overpaying or may be underinsured for your needs. If it affects your financial life, we’ll look at it.

The Right Type of Coverage
We’re Not Steering You Toward Anything
Essex does not sell insurance products, which means our conversations about coverage look different. We focus purely on what you need, without any pressure to buy a product.
We talk through what type of insurance may fit your situation, potentially relevant examples of this may include: term life versus permanent, a 10-year term versus a level term, and why one might make more sense than another for where you are right now. Is the guarantee of an annuity worth the cost and benefit in the long run? We don’t refer you to a specific agent or push you toward a specific product. As a fiduciary, our relationship means recommendations should be made in your best interest.
How Insurance Fits into the Rest of Your Plan
Insurance decisions don’t exist on their own. They can connect to your retirement timeline, your estate plan, your business, and your family’s financial security if something unexpected happens.
At Essex, an insurance review is part of our broader Planning-Based Money Management™ approach, evaluated alongside everything else in your financial life.
