Rob Tutela joined Essex LLC. in 2016 from JPMorgan Asset Management in New York, where he spent a decade in trading, compliance, and operational services for retail and private bank clients. With 20 years in the industry, he now serves as Chief Compliance Officer, Wealth Manager, and a member of the Investment Committee at Essex.

His approach centers on comprehensive planning built around each client’s short and long-term goals, with a focus on investment positioning, risk mitigation, and cash flow management as well as protections and legacy planning. He holds a B.S. in Finance and Business Administration from Montclair State University.

Rob has been named a Five-Star Wealth Manager for two consecutive years (2024–2025) and has been profiled in the Wall Street Journal and Chicago Magazine.

Originally from New Jersey, Rob now calls Lake Zurich, Illinois home, where he lives with his wife, two daughters, and their cat. Outside the office, he’s an avid guitar player who enjoys all types of music, loves trying new foods and traveling with his family to create long standing memories.
